Individual Therapy
A trusting, empathic and validating relationship between a client and therapist are the key ingredients for successful therapy and can help one discover their true potential.
Individual therapy will not change who you are—I believe that you are already enough.
However, individual therapy can help you build increased self-compassion and self-awareness, so that you may continue growing into the very best version of yourself.
My aim is to provide a safe space when you feel lost and vulnerable to explore your fears and concerns. I will work as a guide to help lead you down a path more in line with your personal values.
I believe one of the most important goals in therapy is to help you increase your confidence in dealing with life’s curveballs and aid you in ultimately becoming your own therapist and cheerleader.
Couples Therapy
Discord with your significant other can result in both you and partner feeling disconnected, helpless and confused. Unhealthy relational patterns can become entrenched over time. Hurt and resentments can often overshadow the reasons you fell in love with your partner in the first place, resulting in losing sight of your relationship dreams and goals.
Couples often believe that therapy is only for those in a state of crisis or on the brink of terminating the relationship. The truth is that couples can benefit from therapy at any time; just like cars, relationships need maintenance and attention!
My goal in couple’s therapy is to help you and your partner gain insight into the root of your conflicts and aid you in understanding the roles you each play in dysfunctional interactions.
With increased insight and willingness, you and your significant other will be able to change the way you perceive both one another as well as the relationship and engage in more adaptive behaviors and effective communication.
Group Therapy
The thought of being vulnerable and forthcoming with a group of strangers may seem intimidating and uncomfortable, but group therapy can be extremely effective and exceptionally rewarding.
Groups are often composed of individuals struggling with similar mental health concerns or those in need of more support during challenging times in their life. The benefit of joining a group versus hanging around and venting with a group of friends is obtaining a more objective perspective on one’s situation that can foster personal growth.
Being able to talk openly and listen empathically to others can help one put their own problems into perspective and remind you that you are not alone in your struggles.
My goal in group therapy is to create a nonjudgmental space so that members can feel comfortable opening up and connecting on topics that are most important to them.
